Alanis Morrissette's angry girl rock is clearly not for everyone but her music is especially not for 24-year-old Allen Casey.

The Jacksonville, Fla., man was arrested for hitting his boyfriend in the face with a plate. The reason? He listens to way too much Alanis Morrissette.

"That's all the mother fucker listens to," Casey told police when asked why he attacked his boyfriend, according to the British newspaper the Daily Mail.

Apparently, Casey grew so tired of his 33-year-old boyfriend's love for the singer-songwriter that he took his aggression out by smashing a plate in his partner's face. Perhaps he was inspired by the Morrissette lyric, "I hate to bother you in the middle of dinner / It was a slap in the face how quickly I was replaced" from her 1995 single "You Oughta Know."

When police showed up to the scene, Casey's boyfriend, who Gawker identifies as Todd Fletcher, had a large cut on the left side of his face and told the authorities that Casey didn't like his listening to a Morrissette album.

"I hit him in the face," Casey, who was later found in a park, told police. According to the police report, the officer believed that both men were using amphetamines and/or methamphetamines.

Casey was arrested and charged with domestic battery.
