Listen: Sampling a '90s Gay Anthem, Beyoncé Returns with Brand New Single 'Break My Soul'
Beyoncé is back with brand new music and she's returning with a sample of one of the biggest gay anthems of the '90s.
"Break My Soul" is Beyoncé's lead single from her upcoming album "Renaissance," which is out on July 29. The new track samples Robin S.'s classic house bop "Show Me Love." It also samples Big Freedia's 2014 song "Explode." Freedia appeared on Beyoncé's hit track "Formation" from 2016.
Produced by Beyoncé, The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, BlaqNmilD, and Jay-Z, "Break My Soul" was announced on Monday before being released at midnight.
Freedia took to Twitter to comment on being part of the new track.
