After learning she would speak at the DNC convention next week, New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez engaged in a Twitter exchange that reunited her with her second grade teacher.

Earlier this week, the DNC announced that the popular congresswoman would be among the featured speakers for the DNC convention in support of Presidential candidate Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris.

The Hill reports that Ocasio-Cortez, upon learning she would be allotted only 60 seconds, tweet "Just a Minute," a poem by Benjamin E. Mays:

In response to Ocasio-Cortez's tweet, her second grade teacher chimed in with some encouraging words:

To which the congresswoman responded warmly:

Ocasio-Cortez is scheduled to address the convention on Tuesday evening, August 18, along with former acting Attorney General Sally Yates, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, former Secretary of State John Kerry, Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester, former President Bill Clinton, and the current Presidential candidate's spouse Dr. Jill Biden.
