Best of Boston: Where to Shop Local This Holiday Season
  (Source:Sault New England)

We've rounded up eight of Boston's best local shops that we bet will come close to satisfying all your holiday shopping needs. What's more, they all have online stores that make shopping from anywhere an easy click away.

Sault New England
For the tried, true, and proud New Englander on your list, look no further than Sault New England, Philip Saul's South End-born boutique (with a second location in Portsmouth) that caters mostly to the refined New England gentleman but also has equally refined options for the women in your life. From deliriously soft Penfield flannels and tasteful ways to show your New England pride to serious grooming options, Sault is the confident New England male's paradise.

Craft & Caro
A store for men and those who love them, this Boston-based online purveyor of gentlemen's essentials offers top-shelf grooming supplies, classic travel accessories, and decadent copper barware luxe enough to put a smile on any gentleman's face. Craft & Caro isn't one of those stores that you come to with a list — just surf onto their site and let Craft & Caro tell you what you need. We didn't realize how badly we wanted an African buffalo horn corkscrew or pubic hair oil until we poked around for a little while. For the man in your life that appreciates sophistication (and a well-conditioned nether region,) look no further than Craft & Caro.

December Thieves

The Dan Pecci Company
There isn't a thing that Dan Pecci makes that we don't want. Fun, bold, and unforgettably original, Pecci designs everything from bags and blankets to wrapping paper and personalized notebooks.

With new products added regularly, you'll never run out of things to pine for. We love the Dashing WolfPack for the student in your life and the ultra-cozy Wolfstooth Sherpa Throw Blanket for your favorite cuddler. There isn't anyone that won't love one of his iconic clutches, a set of Moon Phase Coasters, or his Nastier Than Ever T-shirt, a portion of the proceeds from which will benefit Planned Parenthood.

December Thieves
Every item sold at each of December Thieves' Beacon Hill stores (there are two!) has been hand-selected by owner and designer Lana Barakat whose global finds have been thoughtfully and purposefully curated. From stunning jewelry to women's apparel and playful home décor, December Thieves is the place to go for that person on your list that seems to have everything. Their home décor is particularly spectacular, and we are head over heels in love with their royal animal wall trays.

Olive & Grace

Olives & Grace
Founded in 2012, this South End boutique is Boston's ground zero of beautiful gifts. This Gold Tip Boob Mug is a must-have for the feminist in your life and this cheerful migraine relief mask is perfect for your favorite migraine sufferer. From jewelry, tea towels, food, blankets, and fragrance, Olives & Grace's thoughtful curation makes it a vital companion for yearlong gift giving, holiday or otherwise.

Loyal Supply Co.
This design firm and retailer of goods for the home, office, and studio believes that products should be useful but enjoyable, and they pride themselves in being particular about the goods they sell. Their local, hand-printed greeting cards are fun, as are their homages to their hometown of Somerville, particularly the eye-catching Somerville Flannel Hat. Their Pinterest-ready store is filled with unique home accents, specialty food items, fancy notebooks, as well as jewelry and toys.

One for Women
Feel good about the gifts you're giving this year with Boston-based One for Women, which sells curated gift sets sourced from women-owned or women-run businesses with a portion of the proceeds supporting different non-profit organizations. Gift boxes start at less than $35 with a great selection of small gestures boxes that include goodies like lavender sugar (what!) and cozy chai candles.

Our favorite small box, Spread Good Vibes, includes a White Smudge Spray by From Molly With Love that helps free a room of oppressive forces and a Palo Santo Bundle from URB Apothecary, a bundle of smoke sticks that cleanse spaces of negativity. (We need that last one in bulk).

Queen of Swords
This Union Square boutique features carefully selected jewelry, like these hand hammered brass bun pins and Italian-made noir tortoise French clips that put a contemporary twist on classic accessories. Whether it's notebooks, fragrance, women's clothing, or candles (We are obsessed with these cone taper candles, Queen of Swords sells the kind of products that undoubtedly beg the question: "where'd you get that?"
