Gay Conservative From "A-List: Dallas" Refuses Police Help, Generates Skepticism

On Nov. 11, gay conservative, GOProud member and star of Logo's reality TV show, "The A-List: Dallas," said he was attacked by an anti-conservative. The 27-year-old claims a man punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground outside of a birthday party he was attending.

Taylor Garrett also said that his attacker wrote "Fuck Coulter" on the side of his car. The incident allegedly happened a few days after the reality star had lunch with conservative icon Ann Coulter, EDGE reported on a Nov. 14, article.

The GOProud member, however, refused the help from the Dallas Police Department's crime scene detectives, Gay City News reports.

The Dallas Police Department were called to scene of the assault around 10:20 pm and the police report states that Garrett refused PES, which stands for Physical Evidence Section - the department's crime scene unit.

This isn't the first time Garrett has been in the spotlight for a "hate crime." In Oct., EDGE reported that the reality star claimed someone threw a rock through his living room window. Attached to the rock was a threatening message that read:

"You are not A-List. More like Z-List. You are nothing but a nellie twink trying to get attention by calling yourself a republican. "You are nothing but an embarrassment to the gay community," the note continued. "Watch your fucking back you pathetic mother fucking twink."

Many news outlets doubted the attack, however. The incident happened, right before the television series was to air on LOGO and many suspected that Garrett staged the event in order to promote the program, the Gay City News says.

Garrett's refusal to cooperate with authorities only raises eyebrows higher. In his latest attack, he would not let detectives check his car for possible fingerprints or other physical evidence. In addition, the TV star did not treat his cuts right away. Instead, he waited until he got to his home about two hours later to take pictures of himself to post on his Twitter account.

Even some of Garrett's own cast members are hesitant about the hate crimes. Levi Crocker, a gay former rodeo cowboy turned fashion designer, recently tweeted "who said I believed he was attacked," reported Joe. My. God.

Garrett believes he was attacked for being a gay conservative and a member of the conservative gay group, GOProud, which named Ann Coulter Honorary Board Chair. Coulter also appeared on an episode of the "The A-List: Dallas" with Garrett and the organization's Executive Director, Jimmy LaSalvia, EDGE reported

"Ann and Taylor really hit it off, and we talked about a ton of issues ranging from the presidential race to illegal immigration and abortion," LaSalvia dished in a media release. "We even made time for a little girl talk about boys and dating!"
