Portland Harbor Hotel's Annual Ice Bar Returns in January 2012

PORTLAND, Maine - Portland Harbor Hotel's eagerly anticipated Annual Ice Bar, a celebration that embraces winter's cold, opens on Thursday, January 26, 2012. Tickets are on sale now for each evening through Brown Paper Tickets (brownpapertickets.com). Tickets to this 21+ event are $15-$21 per person. Tickets will not be available at the door.
This annual winter tradition is also a fundraiser for three local organizations; funds are raised through the tickets purchased. Last year's Ice Bar raised $15,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Southern Maine, Share our Strength Southern Maine and VNA Home Health and Hospice, an affiliate of the Mercy Health System.
This year's Ice Bar will feature two martini bars, pouring specialty cocktails featuring Smirnoff vodkas Fluffed Marshmallow and Whipped Cream. Shipyard Brewery's popular beers will also be available at an outdoor Ice Bar. There is a full bar indoors.
The Ice Bar is carved outside in the hotel's courtyard. Indoors, attendees will enjoy music provided by a DJ and food.The Ice Bar is open from 5 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day. Eve's at the Garden is located inside the Portland Harbor Hotel and is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
