Design Experts Weekend in Midcoast Maine
Mark Thompson READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Portland, Maine - The Maine Home+Design Show and Cellardoor Winery's early summer events coincide this year to create an idyllic long-weekend vacation idea on Maine's picturesque Midcoast.
The Maine Home+Design Show is Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1. It will bring the pages of the magazine to life in a specially constructed tent at the Camden Hills Regional High School in Rockport.
The show features more than 150 exhibitors, the AIA Pavilion, and a pop-up gallery of works from Art Collector Maine. The intent of the show is to have guests feel like they are walking into a living version of Maine Home+Design.
Held in downtown Rockport, Maine on June 28, Pop the Cork 2012 is Cellardoor Winery and Megunticook Market's annual celebration of the start of summer featuring wine tastings, inspired food, and a very special concert by four-time Grammy award winners, Boyz II Men. All of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Midcoast Habitat for Humanity.
"This is a perfect example of the old saying 'timing is everything'," said Leanne Ouimet, director of events & sponsorships at Maine Home+Design. "When we scheduled the Maine Home+Design Show we realized that having it just one day after Pop The Cork gives people from all over a chance to really enjoy a weekend of food, wine, music, design, and architecture in one of our favorite parts of Maine," she added.
The Maine Home+Design Show is made possible in part by its generous sponsors: J.C.Stone Inc., A.E.Sampson & Son, Phi Home Designs, and Legacy Properties/Sotheby's International Realty.
Published ten times a year by the Maine Media Collective, Maine Home+Design is the state's definitive design publication that gives readers a fresh look at the incredible craftsmen in Maine. In addition, the Maine Media Collective is home to Maine magazine, Eat Maine, Art Maine, and The Brand Company - a marketing firm.
