Arizona Hosts "Gay Camp" for LGBTQ Youth

Phoenix, AZ - Save the date for the 5th annual OUTdoors! Camp hosted by one n ten. Over Labor Day weekend, Friday August 31 to Monday September 3rd, OUTdoors! Camp will bring together 250 LGBTQ youth, volunteers and community leaders to attend "Gay Camp" in Prescott, Arizona.
OUTdoors! Camp is dedicated to helping LGBTQ youth, ages 12-24, develop leadership skills, work in collaborative ways, and develop a strong sense of self and community!
Applications for both in state and out of state youth will be released on May 1st, 2012. Applications for community members interested in leading workshops or becoming a volunteer will be released on May 15th, 2012.

A long-term New Yorker and a member of New York Travel Writers Association, Mark Thompson has also lived in San Francisco, Boston, Provincetown, D.C., Miami Beach and the south of France. The author of the novels WOLFCHILD and MY HAWAIIAN PENTHOUSE, he has a PhD in American Studies and is the recipient of fellowships at MacDowell, Yaddo, and Blue Mountain Center. His work has appeared in numerous publications.
