Calif. Man Sues: 'BMW Bike Gave Me 20-Month Erection'

Who needs Viagra when you can use a motorcycle?

A California man claims that the seat on his BMW motorcycle gave him an erection that lasted nearly two years, CBS Detroit reported.

Henry Wolf filed a lawsuit against BMW North America and seat maker Corbin-Pacific and claims that he experienced a non-stop hard on that lasted 20 months after he rode his 1993 BMW motorcycle for four-hours.

Wolf wants compensation for lost wages, medical expenses, emotional distress and what he calls "general damage." The lawsuit also says that Wolf is "now is unable to engage in sexual activity, which is causing him substantial emotional and mental anguish."

The news station says that Dr. Michael Lutz, from the Michigan Institute of Urology, claims that there is "no medical evidence to prove a motorcycle seat could give you a 20-month-long erection." But Lutz also notes that it has "been long-known that compression of the neurovascular supply to the penis -- if it's compressed for a period of time, whether it be on a bicycle seat or some other device -- it can actually cause prolonged numbness of the genitalia."

"Not only in men, but women can also get numbness in that region if they're compressing those nervous structures to that region of the body," he added.

BWM Motorcycles of Southeast Michigan reportedly investigated the incident and said that Wolf was not riding a standard BWM seat -- his was using an after-market seat.

"Sometimes people say it's more comfortable, sometimes people can get a tall seat or a low seat or they're shorter or taller, they can come heated," said BMW Motorcycles of Southeast Michigan told the news station.
