PA. Transgender 'Gothic-Hip-Hop' Artist Arrested for Botched Butt Injections

A Philadelphia transgender woman faces trial for allegedly performing illegal plastic surgery on an exotic dancer, which nearly killed her, Philly.com reported.
Authorities arrested Padge Victoria Windslowe, also known as "the Black Madam," Wednesday on charges of criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, theft by deception, deceptive business practices, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault and reckless endangerment. Her bail has been set at $10 million.
Police say that the Windslowe, a 42-year-old "gothic-hip-hop" artist, performed illegal plastic surgery on a woman by injecting silicone into her buttocks. Windslowe has also been connected to the death of a British woman who underwent a similar procedure last year.
In February 2011, Claudia Seye Aderotimi died after allegedly paying more than $1,000 for cosmetic buttock surgery in an airport hotel room. Authorities believe Windslowe gave her the injections but she was not charged because officials were still waiting on tests to find out what Aderotimi was injected with.
Lt. John Walker of the Southwest Detective Division said the latest alleged victim received her injections on February 19, at a "pumping party" in Windslowe's home. The woman was sent to a local hospital and treated for pneumonia but began coughing up blood last week.
"It's similar to the Aderotimi case," Walker said. "What allegedly happened is Padge Victoria injected her, hit a blood vessel; the substance entered her bloodstream, goes through, and lands in her lungs."
Walker added that Windslowe had needles, Super Glue, cotton balls, paper towels and a bag with a water bottle full of an "unknown substance believed to be what she would inject during the party," the article pointed out. There were five other individuals at the suspect's house as well.
"We were not gonna let it get that far," Walker said. "We knew she was gonna be there and didn't want to let it get to a point where she was injecting people."
The woman has been released from the hospital but is still receiving medical treatment.
Police say Windslowe is not cooperating with the investigation.
In a very similar case, a transgender woman was arrested in November of last year for allegedly injecting woman in the butt with toxic materials, including mineral oil, cement and "Fix-a-Flat."
Oneal Ron Morris, 30, was charged with practicing medicine without a license and inflicting serious bodily injury. Morris' arrest report said that one of the victims paid Morris $700 for six injections "in each buttock to improve its shape and cosmetic" appearance. But soon after the procedure, the woman began to feel ill.
Police claim that Morris has performed the same surgery on herself and may be part of an "underground plastic surgery ring."
