Tumblr and Everyone is Gay Host NYC Pride Party in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY- On June 23rd Tumblr and Everyone is Gay will be hosting a free, all-ages Pride Party from 2-5pm at Littlefield in Brooklyn.
The event will include live performances from bands Town Hall, I Am Lightyear, and Butterfly Boucher, and will be one of the only major all-ages events at this year's NYC Pride. All proceeds from donations will go to the Ali Forney Center, which provides housing for homeless LGBT youth in New York City.
Tumblr is a world-renowned blogging platform that reaches millions of users each day, and has a strong presence in the LGBT community. Everyone is Gay started as an an advice website for all, hosted on Tumblr, with an emphasis on LGBT youth.
Since its inception, Everyone Is Gay co-founders, Kristin Russo and Dannielle Owens-Reid, have grown the site to an organization that also tours high school and college campuses nationwide to spread awareness and encourage change.
A long-term New Yorker and a member of New York Travel Writers Association, Mark Thompson has also lived in San Francisco, Boston, Provincetown, D.C., Miami Beach and the south of France. The author of the novels WOLFCHILD and MY HAWAIIAN PENTHOUSE, he has a PhD in American Studies and is the recipient of fellowships at MacDowell, Yaddo, and Blue Mountain Center. His work has appeared in numerous publications.
