It's safe to say that Lady Gaga doesn't do anything that's not show stopping.
From here outfits to her performances, the pop princess is known for pulling out crazy antics that draw swarms of paparazzi. And it is no difference when promoting her new fragrance, Lady Gaga Fame.
Women's Wear Daily reported that the "Bad Romance" singer planned on hosting an ice cream social for her fans at Macy's Herald Square on Friday - but not just any kind of ice cream.
"When they get there, there's going to be a lovely black ice cream-inspired ice cream party for them," she told the website. "I'm going to hang out with them and have sundaes, I'll show them the perfume and talk to them. This is really nice because I never get to see my fans, and I definitely miss the fans in the U.S. so much."
WWD notes that the first 250 Little Monsters who purchased a Gaga gift set will get to talk with the performer as well. The site also pointed out that Mother Monster decided to show up to her Guggenheim promotion in a convertible, rather than simply walking down the red carpet.
The Associated Press reported that Gaga debuted her perfume at the museum while being inside a giant-sized perfume bottle while fans watched her get a tattoo on her neck. The AP article says, "Inside, she laid in the bottle in a sparkly top, black skirt and red wig. Then she took off some clothing and a wig - now appearing in lingerie, including a thong - and began receiving a tattoo of the back of her neck (she shaved the bottom half of the back of her head this week)." EDGE reported that she cut off her locks to pay tribute to celebrity photographer and friend, Terry Richardson's mother, who recently died.
When Gaga first announced that she was making a perfume, she told the media that the scent would be based on the molecular structures of blood and semen. But according to Wikipedia, perfume's promotional materials state the perfume uses "push-pull technology" instead of pyramidal structure to combine notes of Atropa belladonna, tiger orchid, incense, apricot, saffron and honey.
"I was surprised at how surprised [Coty, her fragrance licensee] was at how involved I was," she said Thursday when talking about creating the perfume. ""They were surprised by the attention to detail. I wanted samples of everything. I bathed, ate and know everything about this," Gaga said.
