Designed to take travelers away from their 9-to-5 lives, out of their comfort zones, and "off the grid" so they get a taste of an exotic, international destination, Off The Grid's global adventures mix must-see sites with local culture and adventure, pairing each small group with a local leader who uncovers hidden gems by taking travelers off the beaten path.

Experienced travelers with six continents and 50+ countries under their belts, the four young entrepreneurs behind Off The Grid came together with the purpose of helping young Americans escape from the grind of their day-to-day routines.

They left their prestigious corporate jobs, secured financial backing from a successful travel industry veteran, and leveraged their financial backer's worldwide network of travel industry contacts to pursue their dream - to create the perfect escape to feel refreshed and reenergized about life.

"We've been inspired by our own travels to launch Off The Grid, and show Americans that forgetting about your iPhone, getting away from your everyday routine, and going 'off the grid' is just what you need to feel free, inspired, and reinvigorated about life," says cofounder Jaclyn Carron.

"As young entrepreneurs with experience in the corporate world, we know just how precious vacation time and money are, so we've created affordable trips to some of our favorite destinations that really immerse you into a foreign culture and let you unplug without committing to months of travel."

Culled from a long list of places Off The Grid's founders loved to visit most, the first four destinations (Thailand, Peru, Morocco and Belize & the Mayan World) were thoroughly vetted and researched by the founding team, who spent a month in each of the destinations to determine which attractions, adventures, and hotels were worthy additions to each itinerary.

Off The Grid's founders have brokered deals for travelers to swim with elephants in Thailand, ride a camel into the Sahara and camp overnight at a desert oasis in Morocco, stay in a local village guesthouse and enjoy a home-cooked Peruvian meal, and snorkel the reefs off the coast of Belize.

In addition to these exotic adventures, each Off The Grid trip features:
� Nine to 10 day excursions with an optional four or five day extension

� Small groups with no more than 16 travelers

� Youthful, local leaders who are born and raised in the country and accompany travelers 24/7
