Baby makes three - or does it? What happens when the baby you have been preparing for has the chance of being taken away? What happens when you have painted the room, bought cute outfits, and named the baby? LOGO's newest docu-series, "The Baby Wait," focuses on the most agonizing part of the adoption process.

In many states, a birthmother has the option to take her child back from an adoptive family within 30 days. "The Baby Wait" follows both the birthmother and the potential adoptive family as the birthmother wrestles with her decision and the adoptive family has the very real possibility of loosing their newest bundle of joy.

"The Baby Wait" is much like a real "Modern Family," minus a few laughs but with more emotions and drama. From the producers of "Teen Mom," "16 and Pregnant," and "Made," LOGO's new reality series documents a huge hurtle that many adoptions face. Each one-hour long episode features different adoptive families and birthmothers. The adoptive families are gay couples, straight couples, and single parents hoping to grow their family while the birthmothers just want what is best for their child.

In the first episode we meet Mark and Paul, husband and husband living in New York City hoping to have a child. "Mark and I started to talk about children" begins Paul "When I found out Paul was barren!" jokes Mark - eerily reminiscent of "Modern Family." What this "Modern Family" does not know is that at any moment their birthmother could decide not to give them the child.

Their birthmother, Genavieve, is an 18-year-old high school dropout facing a difficult decision. Should she give her baby up for adoption with hopes of giving it a better life? Or should she listen to her fellow teen mom friends and her boyfriend who are urging her to keep the baby?

The show has managed to capture the anxiety of the adoption process and the agony of the dreaded 30-day wait. In the first episode, "The Baby Wait" tackles the process from the viewpoints of the birthmother and adoptive family without glorifying or exploiting either party. In regards to its "Teen Mom" and "16 and Pregnant" counterparts, "The Baby Wait" is a more mature show that highlights the month long period immediately after birth and how the birthmother's choice is not easy. This show is a must see for any reality TV junkie.
