Chely Wright and Wife Expecting Twins

Country singer Chely Wright and her wife announced on Wednesday that they are expecting twins, the New York Daily News reports.
Wright, 42, and her wife, Lauren Blitzer-Wright, a LGBT activist, were featured on the popular YouTube series "Gwissues," and told Howard Bragman, the show's host, that Wright is carrying identical twins.
"They are due in July, but with identical twins you typically have to deliver a month early," Wright said. "So, we're anticipating that I will be as big as a -- bus or A-frame house by June."
Wright married Blitzer-Wright, 31, in August 2011, only a year after the musician came out.
"We're excited to be parents," Wright said. "We hope we don't mess it up too badly. We feel like God blessed us with twins. We feel our entire relationship has been blessed. We feel lucky and ready to take on the challenges."
Wright made headlines in 2010 when she announced she is a lesbian and some of her fans turned on her as she was the first country singer to come out as gay. A 2011 documentary "Wish Me Away" chronicled Wright's coming out story and her role as a gay rights activist.
