Magic Johnson's Son Out and Proud

Magic Johnson's son Earvin "EJ" Johnson III, made headlines on Tuesday after TMZ spotted him walking down the Sunset Strip while holding hands with a man the site claims is his boyfriend.
TMZ followed EJ, 20, who was sporting a fur coat and holding a handbag, as he and his unidentified boyfriend strutted down popular West Hollywood stretch. The reporter for the gossip site asked EJ, a student at New York University, about the newly remolded bathrooms at Dodger Stadium.
"Uh, I'm sure they'll be fabulous bathrooms," EJ said. The reporter also asked about the future of the Los Angeles Lakers, whose playoff chances are currently in jeopardy, NJ.com notes.
"They have a lot of work to do, as far as I've heard," EJ said, "but other than that, I'm going to hope and pray for them, too, because I always root for my Lakers."
Magic Johnson, who played point guard for the Lakers and has been part-owner of the basketball team for several years, made a statement to TMZ and said, "Cookie and I love EJ and support him in every way. We're very proud of him."
TMZ claims that EJ has a close relationship with his parents as his father tweeted in August, "Thnx to my son EJ for hosting me at NYU. Look forward to taking him to dinner tonight in the city."
It should be noted that the TMZ reporter never asked EJ about his sexual orientation or if he is in a relationship with the man he was holding hands with, however.
