YouTube Round-Up: Closing Exodus International
EDGE READ TIME: 1 MIN.
Christian ex-gay organization Exodus International made headlines this week when its Board of Directors announced the "pray the gay away" ministry after nearly four decades. This news occurred less than one day after its president Alan Chambers issued a formal apology to the LGBT for years of "undue" suffering.
The announcement to close Exodus came less than 24 hours before a highly publicized investigative report on the controversial organization was to air on "Our America with Lisa Ling" on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
Chambers' apology and the announcement to close Exodus drew sharp criticism from the Christian right. In this clip, American Family Radio's Bryan Fischer speaks with Peter LaBarbera, president of the Americans for Truth about Homosexuality about the collapse of Exodus and the future of reparative therapy.
CNN's Anderson Cooper speaks with Lisa Ling about her interview with Alan Chambers in the wake of Exodus International's closing.
