Former Grindr Marketing Head Guru Moves to MISTER
EDGE READ TIME: 1 MIN.
Newcomer gay dating app MISTER has hired Grindr's former vice president of marketing, Serge Gojkovich, as a consultant. Gojkovich will lead marketing efforts and help manage growth for MISTER, the app that bills itself as an online community for men who value strength, authenticity and maturity over attitude.
Gojkovich, who left Grindr in March 2013 to found mobile-focused marketing consultancy the Zapamti Agency, will work to establish MISTER as the app of choice for gay men typically 30 and older, and he plans to help MISTER solidify its position within the gay app marketplace. Launched in December 2012, MISTER claims a user base of 1 million mobile and web members "who want something more than a hookup app," according to the company.
