A Pop Emergency? Cher/Lady Gaga Duet Leaks
Jason St. Amand READ TIME: 1 MIN.
Little Monsters are having quite a week.
A duet with Lady Gaga and Cher has surfaced online, just days after Gaga shared her first single "Applause" from her upcoming album "ARTPOP."
According to Instinct, Cher has been talking about the collaboration, "The Greatest Thing," for years, but Gaga is apparently not a fan of the recording they made together.
The track was intended to be Cher's lead single for her upcoming album, but Mother Monster allegedly nixed that plan. Despite getting the kibosh from Gaga, the song has made it from the Gaga/Cher archives and leaked online this week -- and Cher is not pleased. At all.
Though she didn't declare a "pop emergency," Cher pulled a Gaga and went on a Twitter rant about the leak, claiming that someone from her team leaked the unofficial version of "The Greatest Thing."
"Just heard TGT ! FUCK ! IT'S NOT EVEN THE RIGHT FUCKING VERSION!!! WHY DO PPL THINK THIS KINDA LEAKING SHIT IS OK ! I'm so Fg DISSAPOINTED," she wrote. "FK."
"Disappointed( Ive Sat on fkng song 4 over a yr )NOW SOME ASSHOLE LEAKS WRONG VERSION ! GaGa's SINGLE IS GREAT, & THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS," she tweeted.
Last weekend, Gaga had a freak out when a few seconds of "Applause" leaked online, causing her to share the song on Monday.
But if we learned anything from these diva leak social media meltdowns, it's that Cher is amazing at Twitter.
