Russian Neo-Nazi Group Allegedly Attacks Ukraine Gay 'X Factor' Contestant

A Russian neo-Nazi group is making waves Tuesday after reportedly attacking a gay contestant from Ukraine's version of the talent reality show "The X Factor."

According to a report by Spectrum Human Rights Alliance, a group that aims to "unite LGBT community across Eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and former Soviet Union" and to "end discrimination based on sexual orientation," the neo-Nazi group called Occupy Pedophilia is working with Ukrainian police to harm the LGBT community.

SHRA cites a Russian news publication called Arguments and Facts and a Nov. 29 article about an attack on Alexander Bohun, an openly gay man who recently appeared on the Ukraine's version of "The X Factor."

"Police is [sic] investigating whether the founder of the movement 'Occupy Pedophilia' has beaten the Ukrainian star," the newspaper writes.

Bouhn says the founder of Occupy Pedophilia, Maxim Martsenkevich, attacked him and the Department of the Interior Ministry of the Leninsky District in Sevastopol, a city in Ukraine located on the Black Sea coast of the Crimean Peninsula, has opened a criminal investigation to look into the incident.

According to Bouhn, Martsenkevich beat him repeatedly, threatened him with violence and forced him to make a series of false statements while being recorded.

"I was referred to as 'pedophile' illegally, mocked, and forced to admit actions and desires that I have not committed in any circumstances, and I had to admit all that publicly", he said.

Bouhn's lawyer, Elena Kherson, said that Martsenkevich, who is also known as the "Slasher," broke the law by accusing another man of a crime without an instigation or trial.

"There is no evidence of the involvement of Alexander Bohun, in the crime of which 'Slasher' accused him," she said. "And most importantly, he [Bohun] is the victim." Kherson added she wanted to lift the ban on dissemination of the video where the reality contestant admitted he was a pedophile.

In the clip, Martsenkevich shaves Bohun's head, painting it with a rainbow marker and then apparently makes him drink a cup of urine and pours urine over his head.

"Basically I would not kill you because you're gay," Martsenkevich says on the video, according to SHRA. "I would send you to a concentration camp, organize parades for gays there, dress you as a woman, and make you sing songs. Take a good care of you."

SHRA also reports the video was uploaded online on Nov. 22 "by the Ukrainian branch of the Russian Neo Nazi group on the infamous Russian social network VK.com."

This isn't the first time Occupy Pedophile has made headlines. In July, just before the international boycott against Russian vodka company Stoli was launched, a report surfaced that claimed Martsinkevich and the group was using VK.com to target and lure LGBT tunes in order to torture them.

"Infamous Russian ultranationalist and former skin head, Maxim Martsinkevich, known under the nickname 'Cleaver' (or 'Tesak' in Russian) spearheaded a country wide campaign against LGBT teens using a popular social network VK.com to lure unsuspected victims through personal ads," the report reads.

Another incident occurred last month with a group associated with Occupy Pedophilia lured and kidnaped a 20-year-old gay exchange student from Swaziland, Africa. The student, only known as "David Smith" was stripped, and interrogated about his sexual past. He was also slapped and taunted and the group shaved his head and he was forced to kiss and dance with a watermelon, which was eventually shoved in his face.

On Nov. 14, officials from Swaziland confirmed that David Smith was returned to his native country.
