Drugs, gay lovers, murder, flatulence and the President of the United States, this story has everything.
A new and exclusive report from the sensationalist British tabloid the Daily Mail claims that President Barack Obama's high school pot dealer was allegedly beaten to death by his lover with a hammer after getting into several fights about farting and drugs.
"Raymond Boyer, known as 'Gay Ray' to Obama and his marijuana smoking 'Choom Gang', was bludgeoned to death with a hammer seven years after he sold the future president and his friends drugs."
The Daily Mail reports Andrew Devere, a male prostitute, allegedly killed Boyer more than 25 years ago. He gave police a list of reasons why he took Boyer's life, saying the drug dealer often berated him, made him beg for drugs and would pass gas in his face.
The Daily Mail article claims to have discovered court documents from 1991 that state that Devere killed Boyer on New Year's Day 1986 because Boyer was killing a friend by supplying them with drugs. According to The Mail, the papers also documented that Boyer would allegedly berate Devere in public and that he had a habit of farting in Devere's face. The alleged documents also show a history of violence between the couple and point to an incident when Boyer once attacked Devere with a knife, slicing his finger.
According to the Daily Mail, the court papers state that after ringing in 1986, Devere took a claw hammer and beat Boyer to death. His body was found eight days later.
Devere was sentenced to life in prison for the crime.
President Obama has always been open about his use of marijuana as a young man. The British tabloid cites David Maraniss's book "Barack Obama: The Story," where there is mention of the Choom Gang and of their dealer "Ray." The Daily Mail notes that it was known Boyer had been murdered but it's "only now MailOnline can reveal the full tragic story of his life."
