Dinah Shore Weekend Draws 15,000 Lesbians to Palm Springs

More than 15,000 lesbians from across the world will trek to Palm Springs, California from April 2-6 for Club Skirts Dinah Shore, the original party weekend celebrating its 24th anniversary.
"Producing the largest lesbian event in the world, where top notch talent and celesbians, plus thousands of women in bikini's or fashionable evening wear abound, well, what's not to travel across the continent for?" asked Dinah Founder and Producer Mariah Hanson. "You cannot find anything like The Dinah, anywhere in the world, and that's what keeps our customers talking about us, spreading the Dinah love and making sure they come back, year after year."
Lesbian Twins and More!
This year's event will feature epic pool parties, unique high-profile nightlife events, celebrity appearances, live performances, a famous celebrity dodgeball game, a film festival, a Celebrity Poker Tournament, philanthropy, the hottest women, the best DJs and much more.
Headlining this year's event are Canadian lesbian twins Tegan and Sara, taking a pit stop from their "Hearththrob" tour to play Dinah at the April 5 "Black Party" at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Also playing that party is female rap titan Eve. The Grammy-Award winning rapper will perform her anthems including "Satisfaction," "Who's That Girl," "Gangsta Lovin'" and "Let Me Blow Your Mind."
Hip-hop star Iggy Azalea will rock the April 4 "White Party," and guests will enjoy special performances by Grammy nominee Mary Lambert, R&B diva Evelyn "Champagne" King, singer Thea Austin and pop/punk band Hunter Valentine. New this year, Dinah's resident DJ's Lezlee, Asha, Lisa Pittman, Saratonin and Amara will compete in a two-day Battle of the DJs.
Dinah will also feature The Dinah Comedy Night, hosted by Suzanne Westenhoefer with headliner Fortune Feimster of "Chelsea Lately," plus comedians Gina Yashere and Erin Foley.
Fun in the Sun
The Human Rights Campaign will benefit from Dinah's Celebrity Poker Tournament, with guest Jill Bennett, Chef K, Guinevere Turner, Ari Fitz, Gloria Bigelow, Tracy Ryerson and Brittany Wiener. And the Dinah Film Festival, presented by OML, will bring filmmaker JD DiSalvatore to the screen, plus a variety of quality lesbian films and shorts.
Club Skirts Dinah Shore is all about fun in the sun, and this year's retinue of pool parties includes an exclusive L Word Pool Party, hosted in association with Showtime, and featuring stars Leisha Hailey and Kate Moennig.
"I'm excited about Kate Meonnig because I happen to personally adore her and it's been a long time since we have worked together," said Hanson. "She and Leisha are awesome to work with and are undeniably crowd favorites. Of course, Tegan and Sara, Iggy and Eve area also pretty incredible, so if you asked me to pick just one, I am not sure I could!"
