'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 6 -- The Trinity K. Bonet Interview
Kilian Melloy READ TIME: 2 MIN.
The Mini challenge for week 9 was "Hungmen," RuPaul's version of Hangman with letter on the back of the pit crew's booties. I like this version much better! He main challenge was guest hosting the return of RuPaul's Talk Show by interviewing Chaz Bono and Georgia Holt (Cher's mom). The clear top 2 were Adore and Ben with my girl Bianca a close 3rd. In addition to Chaz and Georgia the guest judge was the one and only Paula Abdul. The bottom 2 were Adore and Trinity who both did a fierce lip synch, and in the end Trinity was sent Sashaying away!
At what age did drag become an interest & how did you pick your name?
At 14 was my first experience around drag and I started doing it immediately. My mom purchased the make-up for me. I picked Trinity after the Matrix and my last from Jasmine Bonet, since I idolized her.
How many times did you apply to be on RPDR and how did it feel when you found out you got chosen?
I only applied this season and till this day I still can't believe I was chosen.
Tell me about your RuPaul's Drag Race experience?
It is overwhelming as you are "on" for so many hours a day; its nonstop and you have to adjust really quickly. It was a bit frustrating being there, but now I realize how it was worth it.
How are you going to leverage your time on Drag Race?
I am going to try and do as much as I can to stay visible including public speaking at schools. In addition, I would like to do some music and acting.
Who do you want to win?
I love Adore and Bianca so if one of those 2 win I will be happy.
Josh and trinity are completely opposite of each other. Josh is urban and Trinity is flamboyant.
Tell me something people would be surprised to know about you.
That I do not have insecurities.
What's ahead for Trinity?
Traveling around the country to perform and promote awareness about HIV. I also want to do my own interviews on the road.
