Drag Race's Courtney Act...A "Mean" Queen?

With only days left to the this season's crowning of "RuPaul's Drag Race" next "Drag Superstar of the World" the unabashedly subtly Courtney Act campaigns to keep herself on her fan's radar releasing a gloriously camp new anthem "Mean Gays." Taking to some of her critics and poking fun at stereotypes in the new video, Act reveals -�with great humor -�some of her own struggles to integrate into the LGBT lifestyle, a struggle with which we can all identify.

"I had a difficult time balancing my work and play lives," Act admitted in a recent press release. "I love dry and performing as Courtney, but I felt an immense pressure to go to the gym and get the right body so I could fit in with the West Hollywood boys." That LA scene becomes the target of some healthy "winks and chuckles" in the electro-gospel club track. In the video for "Mean Gays," Courtney Act finds her alter-ego struggling to keep up with the biceps and bulges that are a constant contingent of the culture.

"It's important to be in touch with what feels right for you," said Courtney, "surround yourself with people who respect the way you choose to live and always be an individual." That individuality has taken the "Australian Idol" alumna all the way to the final three on "Drag Race" alongside worthy competitors the bold Bianca Del Rio and ingenue Adore Delano who are also featured in the video for "Mean Gays." With the live coronation just around the corner, the City of Sin -�Las Vegas -�which will host this year's official Season Six Finale, the anticipation is rising to a fever pitch, but don't fret! Courtney Act and the rest of the ladies from this season will be making the rounds appearing at LA Pride this year, as Act prepares to launch overseas for her next gig -�making her debut appearance at the LifeBall in Austria.
