Hearing in Colorado Baker's Refusal to Serve Gay Couple

The Colorado Civil Rights Commission will hold a hearing on a case involving a suburban Denver baker who refused to make a cake for a same-sex wedding reception.
The hearing will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Colorado Supreme Court Chambers at the State Capitol.
A judge in December ordered the shop to stop discriminating against gay couples, but the conservative Christian organization Alliance Defending Freedom appealed the ruling.
The American Civil Liberties Union had filed a complaint against shop owner Jack Phillips on behalf of Charlie Craig and David Mullins, who were married in Massachusetts and wanted a wedding cake to celebrate in Colorado.
The complaint says that in July 2012, Phillips turned the couple away when he found out the cake was to celebrate a gay wedding.
