PopUps :: Don't Get Your Hopes Up

Solange got our hopes up this week when she spoke out about the infamous elevator fight, but immediately let us down when she really didn't say anything at all.

We'll never know what really happened when Beyonce's sister Solange tried to beat the shit out of Jay Z. In an interview with Lucky magazine (via the Daily Mail) published earlier this week, Solange spoke out about the incident for the first time but didn't shed any light on why she snapped at her brother-in-law.

"What's important is that my family and I are all good," she told the publication. "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."

Even if Solange gave us a tidbit of what went through her head at the time, it wouldn't have outdone the exclusive report BuzzFeed had this week, which alleges the father of Solange and Beyonce (and former manager) has a child with another woman.

Taqoya Branscomb claims Mathew Knowles, 63, is also the father of a female child born in 2010 in Harris County, Texas. Branscomb wants daddy Knowles to take a DNA test (somebody call Maury) and is requesting child support and money for her attorney's fees.

This isn't the first time daddy Knowles was hit with a paternity suit - in 2010, he acknowledged he was the father of actress Alexandra Wright's son. The affair caused the divorce between him and Bey's mom Tina after nearly 30-years of marriage.

In other baby news, men and women who have major crushes on Ryan Gosling were let down this week when it was revealed Evan Mendes is reportedly pregnant with the "Drive" actor's baby. The news came to a shock to many, and diehard fans really didn't want the news to be true, but Ellen DeGeneres crushed the dreams of many to confirm Mendes was in fact pregnant, the Daily Mail points out.

"Congrats to @RyanGosling and @EvaMendes! That's going to be the most beautiful, bilingual, part-superhero, well-dressed, romantic baby ever," Ellen tweeted Thursday.

Us Weekly confirmed Mendes is seven-months pregnant. It'll be the first child for both actors who ironically costarred as parents in the fantastic 2013 drama "The Place Beyond the Pines." The two have been dating since fall 2011.

Mendes and Gosling are probably spending a lot of time together, especially with a newborn on the way. Unfortunately, that can't be said for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, despite having one of the cutest babies in Hollywood.

According to Radar Online, Kimye have been married 46-days and they've seen each other for just nine of those days. If you recall, Kim and ex-husband Kris Humphries were married just 72-days, so its not totally out of the realm of speculation.

"Kim complained and sulked the entire time they were in Ireland on their honeymoon," an source told Radar. "She didn't like the cooler damp climate, and the lack of high-end designer stores. Kanye tried to arrange tours of local museums, but she wanted nothing to do with it. Only Kim would go to Ireland and be bored, and go to two separate movies in the same day in a foreign country!"

The source says Kanye is bummed out and is "miserable and brooding."

But while that relationship may be on the rocks, another, albeit kind of unexpected, seems to be blossoming.

Earlier this week, the Daily Mail reported Zac Efron and out-bisexual actress Michelle Rodriguez are a thing. The two were caught kissing while on a yacht over the weekend. Zac, 25, leaned in and kissed Michelle, 35, while on the swanky boat. Last October, Michelle revealed she goes "both ways," saying "Men are intriguing. So are chicks."

I don't think we can blame her for not being able to resist Zac. Could you?

Bonus: Britney Spears can't sing. I know, shocker.

Audio of the 32-year-old pop star singing "Britney Jean" track "Alien" went viral this week. What makes this audio so special is that its Brit Brit's voice without autotune and it sounds horrible. It's pretty funny, kind of sad but we never listened to Britney for her vocal prowess did we? After all, she's a performer not a singer.
