As Inga, the heavily German accented lab assistant said in Mel Brooks' classic 1974 comedy "Young Frankenstein" said, "he vould have an enormous schwanzstucker."
This observation is proving to be true as according to data released International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), which show that Germany is far and away, the penis enlargement capital of the world. The Guardian reports.
According to data recently released by ISAPS, of the 15,414 reported penis enlargement surgeries that took place in 2013, one in five of them happened in Germany. Five times as many people undergoing the surgery than anywhere else in the world.
"Penis enlargements are now in seventh place among aesthetic surgery procedures for men," said Sven von Saldern, the president of the German Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in 2011. "That surprised even us." According to The Local de, the swell in demand for penis enlargement surgery is a trend that started in 2011. And as though a metaphor for the procedure itself, the trend continues to grow.
American guys seemed happier with the size of their yankee doodles. Statistics provided by the ISAPS show that demand for enlargement surgery by men the U.S. ranked ninth globally. (see data below)

Newsweek points out that despite the ISAPS figures showing a rise in enlargement surgeries, the procedure falls low on the list. "Phalloplasty isn't even on the top ten cosmetic surgeries worldwide. Breast augmentation still holds the first place title. 1,773,584 "boob jobs" were performed in 2013, more than 100 times the amount of penis enlargement.
