Lady Gaga fans who went to the artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball show in Manchester, England, Tuesday got a special romantic surprise, when the singer invited a man onstage to propose to his boyfriend, the Huffington Post reports.
Mother Monster invited a young man name Jay, whom she called an "incredible friend" and a member of her "family," onstage so he could propose to his boyfriend, Shaun.
After Jay got down on one knee, the crowd went wild and Gaga jumped up and down for joy and cheered, before running over to the couple and embracing them with a big hug and kiss.
"My record label, a long time ago, they told me that my show is 'too gay' and I was 'too gay' or this was 'too gay,' " the "Applause" singer told her fans.
She added: "I told them, 'Well it's a great thing that there are gay people all over the world!' Real human beings with real dreams and real stories ... you deserve to love and express your love the same as everybody around the world. I wish you a beautiful love and happy marriage."
Gaga then launched into a minimalist, but appropriate, version of her hit "Born This Way."
The 28-year-old singer found herself at the center of marriage rumors herself earlier this month when reports claimed that she and her boyfriend of three years, actor Taylor Kinney, got hitched. But it turned out the couple held a "commitment ceremony" in New York City with close friends and family.
