PopUps: Trouble in Paradise? Ellen and Portia Deny 'Epic Fight'

The rumor mill is spinning once again and Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are the subject of (more) divorce rumors after a report surfaced that said the couple missed a charity event because they got into an "epic fight," the Daily Mail reports.
A source told the New York Post's Page Six the women "were in the car on the way, when they had an epic fight" and they "ended up turning around" back home, instead of allegedly attending Saving SPOT!, an animal charity fundraiser in Santa Monica, Calif.
"Reporters were told they were on their way, until the head of the charity informed everyone at the end of the event that they weren't going to make it due to 'logistics,' " the source told the Post.
DeGeneres, 56, said there must have been a breakdown in communication because she and de Rossi, 41, never confirmed they would be attending the event.
The talk show host eventually released a statement to Page Six about the alleged fight.
"We were happy to lend our names as honorary chairs and the organization was always aware that we would be unable to attend," DeGeneres said. "This is the first time we have seen our images attached to the invite. It was not approved and it is misleading."
The star's lawyer also refuted the incident, saying the couple is A-OK.
"The story is a complete lie. My client told the organizer they never agreed nor planned to attend the event. There was no fight that caused them not to attend," DeGeneres' attorney Marty Singer said.
This isn't the first time divorce rumors have plagued the couple, who married in 2008. The Daily Mail points out DeGeneres poked fun of the rumors last summer when she appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
"I read that we were getting divorced, and I went and told [de Rossi], and she was sad. We both were so sad," she said.
de Rossi recently denied baby rumors on Ellen's talk show, however, saying, "No, we're not. There's a magazine cover. It says we're "finally starting a family." Like are people really that mad at us?"
