18,992 'Massholes' Supported Scott Lively's Failed Bid for Gov.

Good news Massachusetts: Anti-gay pastor and crimes against humanity defendant Scott Lively won't be your next governor! Bad news: 18,992 of you are "Massholes."

The results are in and Scott Lively, the anti-gay vocal supporter of Uganda's "kill the gays" bill and Russia's "anti-gay propaganda" law, has placed a distant fourth in his bid to become the next governor of Massachusetts. Lively received 18,992 votes; 1,049,125 less than Republican candidate Charlie Barker, who narrowly beat out his Democratic rival, former state attorney general, Martha Coakley.

Using the campaign slogan, "Principles Before Politics," Lively's message, which promised to defend the unborn, de-fund the "gay agenda," deport illegals, support the second amendment and more, resonated 0.89 percent of the electorate. He even had a catchy little campaign ditty titled "The Rainbow Belongs to God" to stir up his base of homo-hating xenophobic gun nuts.

"Thank you to all of whom supported me, we ran a Lively race," a laconic Lively conceded on his Facebook page, which prompted the following responses from his supporters:

"your campaign was fantastic & courageous! God bless you brother!"

"Thank you for running! Making your stand was amazing to all of us true Christians! Your reward will be great in heaven!"

The reward on earth may prove to be a different matter for the virulently homophobic pastor, who called Russian president Vladimir Putin, a "defender of true human rights."

In 2013, a federal U.S. judge ruled the case filed by a Ugandan LGBT advocacy group against Lively, for his collaboration with religious and government officials in Uganda that led to the introduction of the African nation's "Kill the Gays" bill, will be allowed to proceed. This marked the first ruling by a federal U.S. judge calling the persecution of LGBT persons a crime against humanity, possibly setting a precedent for the human rights of sexual minorities will be protected under international law.

Lively is co-author of the 1995 universally debunked tome "The Pink Swastika," which, according to author notes, asserts that "the Nazi Party was conceived, organized and controlled throughout its short history by masculine-oriented male homosexuals who hid their sexual proclivities from the public, in part by publicly persecuting one group of their political enemies: out-of-the-closet effeminate-oriented homosexuals aligned with the German Communist Party."
