What's HOT South Florida :: 11/26 - 12/03
Kilian Melloy READ TIME: 7 MIN.
Not that I am complaining, but a lot of the locations this weekend focused on "skin." Friday started with a trip to Swinging Richards where I saw lots of sexy men in all of their glory. Afterwards, I went by Rumors for the weekly Daisy Deadpetals Show with cast member Erika Norell and special guests. As usual, Daisy is a hoot on the microphone and makes you have a fab time. Afterwards it was off to Ramrod for their monthly "Mandance" featuring men in leather and harnesses galore dancing to the beats of Herbie James.
Saturday started out very sad, as the community came together for Mark Haines' Celebration of Life service at the Pride Center at Equality Park. The memorial was so packed that it was standing room only as the South Florida community came out to pay tribute to a wonderful man and friend who was taken from us way too early. Tributes were made by Robert Boo, Jason Tamanini, Stephen R. Lang, Mark's nephew and brother, and Reverend Leslie Tipton, and John Goodnight of the City of Wilton Manors presented a certificate to the family proclaiming that day as "Mark Haines Day." Thanks to Carol Moran of 13 Even for donating all the refreshments. This was a wonderful way to say goodbye to a great friend.
Later on that evening, My TropiXXX presented their annual holiday fashion show at Hunters. The show was hosted by Velvet LeNore and Jamie and benefited Out of the Closet Thrift Store. It featured lots of sexy models. Afterwards, we went down to Floppy Roosters to see more sexy men. It was one of the bartenders' birthdays, and the strippers brought him on stage. I will let the pic (the PG version) do the rest of the talking. After that, it was off to Discotekka for one of their infamous foam parties, and as usual, it was lots of fun!
