Compass' 22nd Annual PrideFest of Lake Worth and the Palm Beaches, the largest LGBT festival in Palm Beach County, expects to attract more than 12,000 attendees this year from throughout South Florida and the Treasure Coast.

This year's event will be held at Bryant Park in Lake Worth (located along S. Golfview Rd., on the Intracoastal Waterway) on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, 2015. The parade will take place on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. starting on Lake Ave and North J Street. The festival's hours are noon to 6 p.m. on both days.

PrideFest is excited this year because they are expecting record-breaking crowds. In 2015, PrideFest is the only LGBT pride celebration in South Florida to be held in March. Clear Channel PrideFest_copy1is bringing down one person from the main cast from the Elvis Duran Morning Show. Also, we will have someone performing weddings for those wanting to get married at PrideFest.

Since 1992, PrideFest has served as Palm Beach County's largest gay and lesbian visibility event. The festival exemplifies the strength and growth of the gay and lesbian community by highlighting more than 150 businesses that stand by our community and welcome our business. The event features a parade, live performances and entertainment for all ages.

More importantly, PrideFest emphasizes the importance of diversity in our community, making it stronger and more accepting of all individuals and their contributions to society. Without a doubt, PrideFest exists as an important component of Compass' efforts to create equal opportunity and a safe place to live and allows for more effective local advocacy.
