Dinah Vegas Gears Up for Fourth Year!

Sin City prepares for redemption when Girl Bar welcomes women from across the world to Dinah Vegas, now celebrating its fourth year. The event, held from April 23-26 in Las Vegas, will feature pool parties, dance parties, live performances and plenty of opportunities for high rollers to enjoy VIP perks.

"We keep growing, and what's so great is that we're growing in both numbers and in terms of events. We're able to add different things every year," said Dinah Vegas Creator Sandy Sachs.

After more than 20 years working on the Club Skirts Dinah party in Palm Springs, with host Mariah Hanson, Sachs decided to split off and throw her own Dinah celebration in Las Vegas.

"One of the things that was tough about Palm Springs was that I was there for 21 years, and every year it was the same," said Sachs. "I literally sat at the White Party and thought, 'How many times can we do this in the same space, year after year?' What's great about Vegas is we haven't had the same program yet. This year, our opening event is at Elton John's FIZZ, which wasn't even there last year! It's a stunning place that's gay-owned and -operated, and new for this year."

The weekend festivities open on Thursday, April 23, at a new venue, Elton's John's SEXY Champagne Bar & Lounge. Doors open at 10 p.m. for FIZZ at Caesar's, featuring a unique menu, champagne cocktails and a full bar. DJ Sara Moshiri from Berlin will get you dancing.

On Friday, April 24, go-go dancers wow the crowd at the Glitter party, from 10 p.m.-4 a.m. at Chateau Nightclub at Paris, 3655 S. Las Vegas Blvd. And VIPs can take in the entire city with their cocktails at the High Roller VIP Cocktail Party at The Linq, the huge new Ferris Wheel. Arrive at 8 p.m. or you won't be able to board.

Sachs has rented two pods of the High Roller, and will roll on bars so that VIP guests can enjoy cocktails for the duration of the 30-minute revolution. The Ferris Wheel wasn't even completed last year, so it's an opportunity for guests to do something completely different and unique.

"This is going to be pretty spectacular," said Sachs. "You get such a great view, the whole span and panorama of all of Las Vegas. You're sitting there looking at The Strip and its lights, and all of a sudden the desert comes into view and it looks barren, with just a few houses and then the mountains. It really gives you a perspective of how it was when Bugsy Segal first decided to build a casino here; there was nothing. To me, that's a great VIP party, rather than the same old same old."

On Saturday, April 25, start the day right with the Infinity Pool Party, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Flamingo Hotel. Sachs is still amazed that the 3,000-room Flamingo Hotel welcomes the girls of the Dinah to take over the entire pool area, construct stages and entertain the audience with go-go girls and celebrity guests.

This year, the Infinity Pool Party welcomes Anita Antoinette, finalist from Season 7 of "The Voice." You'll also enjoy a performance by the Electro-Pop duo Stash. That evening, head to Chateau Nightclub at Paris for the Vegas White Party. Be a part of the weekend's most opulent event, filled with gorgeous women and 'white-hot style.'

"We wanted to make the party about the girls and the event, rather than all about the entertainment," said Sachs. "I didn't want to come in with $25,000 performers who only sing three songs and leave, so I got Anita Antoinette to perform, and the electropop duo Stash. We support our community that way."

You'll also have some down time to check out Las Vegas' other offerings, as Sachs notes, "we didn't want to have something planned for every minute of every day; we want people to have time to do stuff in Vegas."

The weekend wraps up with the Sunday Funday closing party at the always-fun Diablos Cantina upstairs bar at the Monte Carlo Hotel. The daylong party features live DJs, hot music, sexy go-go dancers and ladies who just want one more chance to let loose before they head home.

"The event always attracts a boatload of women from Canada, who are escaping the super bad winter," said Sachs. "Women from all over the world come to this, because it's a lot easier to fly into Vegas than Palm Springs. Another great motivator is that there's no last call. Women aren't going to fly 15 hours to stop partying at 1 a.m. But in Vegas, the party never ends!"
