Comedy Star Judy Gold Plays P-Town's Art House

Emmy-winning comedian Judy Gold will return to The Art House in Provincetown by popular demand this Labor Day weekend, September 3-5. Gold is a Drama Desk and GLAAD Award winner for "25 Questions for a Jewish Mother," and host of TV's "Mom's Night Out," "Tru TV Presents World's Dumbest," has been a guest host of ABC's "The View" and frequent guest on "The Joy Behar" show.

During the six-month Off-Broadway run of Gold's recent one-woman show "The Judy Show: My Life As A Sitcom," the New York Times made it a critic's pick and raved that it was "Highly entertaining! Brash, Buoyant & Infectiously nostalgic" and the Huffington Post called it "Comedic Gold. A funny & fantastic ride! It's the ultimate laughter-through-the-tears tale."

Gold was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance for her other most recent solo show "25 Questions for a Jewish Mother," which also won the GLAAD award for "Outstanding New York Theater." The New York Times called the show "fiercely funny, honest and moving." A subsequent book based on the show was nominated for the prestigious Quill Award.�She also won two Emmy Awards as writer and producer for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and was nominated twice for the American Comedy Awards' funniest female stand-up.
