AIDS Fund Philly Kicks off 20th Season of GayBINGO

AIDS Fund is kicking off the 20th Anniversary Season of GayBINGO on September 12! Revisit favorite vintage themes from the past 20 years for a fun, campy, season of GayBINGO, all to raise funds for HIV/AIDS right here in the Greater Philadelphia region. The season schedule is below, highlighted by the annual Black-Tie GayBINGO in March, this year at the beautiful Loew's Hotel.

"Over the past 19 years, GayBINGO has raised over $3.3 million for HIV awareness, prevention and care services in the Greater Philadelphia region. Many of our players come because they have heard it's a fun event, but also it provides us with an opportunity to make them aware that HIV is still an issue in our communities," said Robb Reichard, Executive Director of AIDS Fund.�

In honor of GayBINGO's 20th anniversary season, AIDS Fund is reprising some favorite themes from years past:

September 12: Rocky Horror GayBINGO! - "Let's do the Time Warp again!" (from June 2008)

November 21: Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy GayBINGO! - "Come blow your horn!" (from April 1998)

December 5: A Very Martha Stewart Christmas GayBINGO! - "It's a very good thing!" (from December 1997)

January 9: Divas Las Vegas GayBINGO! - "What happens at GayBINGO stays at GayBINGO!" (from March 2005)

February 20: Lace, Leather, Feet & Feathers GayBINGO! - "What's your pleasure?" (from March 2005)

March 19: BLACK-TIE GayBINGO! at the Loew's Hotel

March 26: Totally Awesome GayBINGO! - "Mousse up your hair and party like it's 1985!" (from April 2009)

April 23: Beauty School Dropout GayBINGO! - "Grease is the word!" (from June 2013)

May 21: My Big Fat Gay Wedding GayBINGO! - "Massachusetts, here we come!" (from May 2005)

June 11: 20th Anniversary GayBINGO Spectacular! - "It's a roaring '20s evening!"

This fun event is open to anyone who enjoys campy humor. Cash prizes will be awarded. GayBINGO was named Best of Philly (Gay Event), won PGN's Lambda Award for Best Fundraiser, and was the subject of a popular WHYY documentary.�It has also been featured in the LA Times, Washington Post, and USA Today.�The event has raised over $3.3 million to date.� GayBINGO sponsors are McAdam, Tavern on Camac, UBar, Starbucks and Philly AIDS Thrift.

AIDS Fund produces a variety of fundraising and awareness programs throughout the year, including AIDS Walk Philly, AIDS Run Philly, GayBINGO!, Black-Tie GayBINGO! and Workplace Giving Campaigns.�The AIDS Fund grant program supports partner organizations in the Philadelphia Region that provide AIDS and HIV-related services, education, and prevention including increasing public awareness of HIV/AIDS issues.�
