Melissa Etheridge Plays CT's Ridgefield Playhouse

Hear the hits "I Want To Come Over," "I'm The Only One," "Come To My Window" and the stories behind the songs when Oscar and Grammy Award winning artist Melissa Etheridge returns to The Ridgefield Playhouse October 5-6 at 8 p.m. as part of the Pepsi Rock Series powered by Xfinity.
"I enjoy doing the solo shows," said Etheridge. "I love to dive into my catalogue of songs and bring a new freshness to my older material. It is such an intimate experience with the audience, and it is truly one of my favorite ways to perform."
The rock icon will bring her soulful lyrics and smoky, Joplin-esque vocals to the stage as part of her This Is M.E. solo tour. Since 1988, Melissa Etheridge has been bringing the deep emotion of confessional songwriting to bear on the heart and soul of rock and roll.
In her almost-thirty-year career, Etheridge has released ten studio albums, campaigned tirelessly for numerous social causes, sold out countless tour dates, and won two Grammy Awards and an Oscar. Etheridge will be performing solo, and playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar, harmonica, and piano.

Since she released her eponymous debut record in 1988, Etheridge has sold more than 15 million albums. On This Is M.E., Etheridge is as bracingly honest as she's ever been, drawing on her Kansas upbringing with "Take My Number" and "Stranger Road," and delving into the profoundly personal with "Who Are You Waiting For."

The singer-songwriter released a new DVD on�June 9th�entitled�"A Little Bit Of Me: Live In L.A"�It is a powerful document of Etheridge live in concert. Etheridge and her band were in top form for their performance at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown LA, and features Etheridge performing new and classic hits.
