Gym Boys - Gay Erotic Stories

Anti-sex theorists aside, there is a place for pornography in most of our lives,
especially in the fantasy lives of "outsiders" such as gay men. (Lesbians have a different kind of porn-needs, labeled Herotica -- less physical; more emotional.) So, veteran writer Shane Allison has produced a quality product in his "Gym Boys: Gay Erotic Stories" .

Eighteen improbable but riveting stories flesh-out the various writers' fantasies of what actually happens (although generally not to thee and me) on the gym floors, in the locker rooms, showers and/or steam rooms. All explicitly sexual, with sweat-pouring bodies, jaw-expanding needs, anal penetrations of a wide variety, and the expenditure of gallons of semen.

Most always the pornography we encounter makes for pretty dreadful literature, as there is not much variance in what one can actually do without permanent damage to one's physicality. But surprisingly, editor and author Allison found some terrific writers such as Gregory L. Norris' "The Ropes," wherein the under-developed hero manages a physical makeover in a Boston gymnasium and attracts the attention of the young gym manager. Their dialogue isn't scintillating, but Norris' use of description is above average. Or Katya Harris' story of a young film star being seduced by his personal trainer as he continues his workout.

Now, another problem with the "one-handers" is the limited repetition in descriptions. How could it be otherwise, as the fantasies most of us hold do not usually include under-sized chests, shoulder, buttocks or penises? (At least in this collection of hot-stories.) Best read in small doses, I should think.

At the very least, while the characters in the stories are mainly Caucasian, there's still representatives from communities of color, mainly African-American characters and some Latinos. Naturally, everyone is heavily endowed with above-average packages/junk (how weird is it to refer to your penis and testicles as "junk"? Where's the pride in that?!).

So, you takes your pick of the kinds of turn-on you need, as this book is filled with all the gymnasium stories with which you've ever turned yourself on in your head.
