'A Night of Broadway Stars' Supports Atlanta's Covenant House and Homeless Youth

On April 28, performers from some of the best known productions on Broadway will appear in Atlanta at a benefit supporting Covenant House Georgia (CHGA) and the homeless youth it serves. The fifth annual "A Night of Broadway Stars," presented by Delta Air Lines, will be held at The Buckhead Theater and will be hosted by renowned composer and lyricist, Neil Berg.

Berg has written many shows, including "Prince and the Pauper," which ran in New York for more than two years. Berg's "Grumpy Old Men the Musical," based on the Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon movie, recently finished a successful opening run in Canada and will begin a U.S. tour in the near future.�

"We are delighted to have Neil Berg join us again to host this year's A Night of Broadway Stars," said Allison Ashe, Executive Director of Covenant House Georgia.�"This is always a wonderful and moving event, but to have our youth share the stage with Broadway's best is a special thrill."�

Through "A Night of Broadway Stars," Berg has helped to raise more than $20 million for Covenant House International in the last 12 years.�This June, Covenant House will be presenting Neil Berg and Rita Harvey, of "Fiddler on the Roof," with the Beacon of Hope Award at Lincoln Center.

A performance number by several of the program's residents will also help explain the important work done by CHGA.

CHGA provides shelter and services to Atlanta's homeless, runaway and trafficked youth.�Last year, CHGA served nearly 1,400�homeless and at-risk youth.�CHGA is a full partner of Covenant House International, the largest privately funded agency in�the United States providing shelter and services to homeless and at-risk youth.

Tickets for the event are $250 apiece.�The evening includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, silent and live auction, and a Broadway show followed by a dessert reception. �
