Pied Bar Hosts Hunter Valentine and 'Real L Word' Star For Memorial Day

On Friday May 27 and Saturday, May 28, Hunter Valentine rocks Memorial Day with their Provincetown debut, playing The Pied Bar for Bikini Rock Night with special guest Jo Livi, and playing "The Real L Word Party," featuring Whitney Victoria Mixter. Hunter Valentine has toured the world with the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Sum 41 and more!
The rock and roll band, which features lesbian members Kiyomi McCloskey and drummer Laura Petracca, is a snarling quartet creating songs reminiscent of The Smiths and Radiohead. The band formed in Canada in 2004, and released three albums. Their fan base grew after the band was featured in Season 3 of "The Real L Word."
In a recent Huffington Post piece McCloskey wrote about the wild ride of touring and reality TV, mentioning, "People come to shows and don't just want to hear 'Liar Liar,' but they want to see Laura's boobs, watch keyboards break, and see me live out the role as 'the Dictator.' She is of course referencing the caricatures of their reality TV portrayals -- but does what you see on screen in fact ring true in person? Though there's some validity to what we saw on 'The Real L Word,' that's only a fragment of who each band member is -- who Petracca is."
