Fibroid Education Center Offers Women With Uterine Fibroids Non-Surgical Option

In collaboration with Dr. Suzanne LeBlang, an industry-leading physician in treating uterine fibroids, the newly-created Fibroid Education Center offers women suffering from uterine fibroids information to take charge of finding solutions, with special emphasis on the non-surgical Curawave (MRgFUS) procedure.

The Curawave (MRgFUS) procedure uses MRI-guided focused ultrasound beams to kill fibroid tissue without surgery. Women are typically back to normal activity the next day. Many go to dinner to celebrate immediately after their procedure. In October of 2015, the FDA approved Curawave (MRgFUS) as a fertility-preserving treatment for uterine fibroids. Currently, most other uterine fibroid treatments are contraindicated for fertility preservation or remove fertility entirely.

Dr. Suzanne LeBlang, a Curawave industry leader and medical director for the Fibroid Education Center, provides medical leadership to the organization. Dr. LeBlang has over ten years of experience guiding women seeking information about uterine fibroids. She even conducts complimentary medical record reviews for potential Curawave candidates.

The organization has four consumer educators charged with encouraging women to study the therapy choices available and providing guidance on treatment options. Educators are available by phone, email, and online chat, and are useful resources for women seeking advice.

The Fibroid Education Center has created educational seminars that provide empowering information to women suffering from uterine fibroids. These straight talk seminars cover uterine fibroid anatomy, causes, treatments, and Curawave. The next two seminars will be held in Boca Raton, FL on July 20 and August 16. In addition, there are now weekly online webinars available for women to attend from any location.

On the Fibroid Education website, women can get details and register for seminars and webinars. Also, a library of resources at the site provides practical information to women. Dr. Suzanne LeBlang has created an easy, 8-question fibroid quiz to help guide women to potential treatment options for further research. The quiz results personalize guidance to each woman based on her personal health situation. Over 6,000 viewers visited the site in the first six weeks it was open, many to take the easy quiz.

One in four women will suffer from uterine fibroid symptoms. Ten million women in America currently experience fibroids, and over 250,000 women annually undergo a hysterectomy in response to fibroids.

The Fibroid Education Center is a social health company serving women with symptomatic uterine fibroids. The company is owned and operated by Strategies Now, Inc., which provides the helpful content and services in collaboration with INSIGHTEC and University MRI & Diagnostic Imaging Centers. Terry Newmyer is the managing director of Strategies Now, Inc., and the Fibroid Education Center.

"We encourage women to take their health into their own hands by providing information that is customized to each visitor at our website or by phone, helping them assess their range of treatment choices," said Newmyer.
