Crown and Anchor Rolls Out Red Carpet for Ptown Women's Week

Thousands of women flock to Provincetown from October 10-16 to enjoy their annual Women's Week celebrations. And in addition to the Kate Clinton's infamous Flag Football competition and this year's attempt to win the Guinness World Record for largest lesbian wedding with Bride Pride, many of them enjoy the comedy shows presented at the Crown & Anchor.
Featured comedians include Julie Goldman with her show, "Lady Gentleman" from October 12-15 at the Crown & Anchor Cabaret Room, and Vickie Shaw's "Platinum is the New Blonde," at the same venue during that same time frame.
Singer/songwriter Karen Grenier also plays on October 13-15 in the Cabaret Room, and Michelle Ragussis and Maratita Jara are featured in Sauced! An Afternoon of Food & Drink on October 13. Join them at 3 p.m. Poolside at the Crown & Anchor for delicious food and amazing cocktails.
The weekend heats up with When Thoughts Attack, featuring Kelly Kinsella, in the Cabaret on October 13-14. Kate Clinton's Wake Up Call is featured at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 13 at the Paramount.
Catch singer Suede in Concert on Thursday, October 13 at 8 p.m., and Saturday, October 15 at 5 p.m. at the Paramount. Comedian Scout Durwood adds a night at the Paramount on October 14, and Friday night sizzles at Steam, a dance party featuring DJ Dena on October 14 at the Paramount.
The highlight of Women's Week 2016 is on Saturday, October 15 when Mary Lambert and Our L J hold the Our Colors Stay True Concert, a benefit for the True Colors Fund.
