Julie Goldman Headlines Dinah Comedy House in Palm Springs
EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.
The always politically incorrect stand-up comedianJulie Goldman, one of the most hilarious, provocative and familiar faces on Bravo's"The People's Couch" and the "Vanderpump Rules After Show,"is headlining "The Dinah Comedy House" on Saturday, April 1 at 8 p.m. at The Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs, CA.
"I'm very excited to be part of the Dinah Comedy house with two of the funniest bitches on the planet," Goldman told EDGE. "They tell me I'm headlining, but after seeing who I'm sharing the stage with, I'm pretty sure I'm just bringing them water. Either way, this is definitely a show not to be missed!"
After making her noticeable debut playing a mixed bag of hilarious roles in the former Logo series "The Big Gay Sketch Show," alongside other comedic luminaries including "Saturday Night Live" star Kate McKinnon, and now with two hit shows on Bravo, an ABC pilot in the can, and a thriving stand-up career, Goldman is on an unstoppable meteoric rise!
She will be joined at The Dinah byAward-winning British comicGina Yashere and the wildly hilarious Erin Foley. Gina Yashere has been a stand-up and TVstar in the UK forseveral years now, with appearances on iconic TV shows such as"Live At The Apollo" and "Mock The Week."
She broke onto the American comedy scene withher appearances on "Last Comic Standing" (NBC), where she made it to the final 10,and then never went home! Known in the U.S. for being the only British comedian to ever appear on the iconic "Def Comedy Jam," Yashere was named as one of the top 10 rising talents in the Hollywood Reporter.
Erin Foley made her stand-up debut on "Conan" in 2013, did a guest star on the NBC series "Go On," and also performed stand-up on TV Guide's inaugural series "Stand-up In Stilettos" hosted by Kate Flannery of "The Office" and Comedy Central's new series "Mash Up," hosted by TJ Miller.
She has had roles in "Curb Your Enthusiasm," the acclaimed Tribeca Film Fest short "Cried Suicide," and even a supporting role in "Almost Famous." As a seasoned comedian, she also has a "Comedy Central Presents" under her belt, as well as having been on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," "Chelsea Lately," E!, and more. Foley is certifiably taking the comedy scene by storm.
"I always love performing at The Dinah, but I'm especially looking forward to the show this year, given that Voldemort has been elected," Foley told EDGE. "We need to come together and fight and march and laugh! Lesbians get shit done. Let's do this."
