Life Group LA Holds 'Resiliency: Self-Care & Advocacy in Troubled Times'

The Life Group LA will hold a free half-day workshop titled "Resiliency: Self Care & Advocacy in Troubled Times" on Saturday, March 18, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in West Hollywood. The event focus is to ignite our community in the name of emotional support and activism.
The LBGTQ and Allies community has a long history of standing up in the face of societal and cultural opposition to fight for our right to safety, openness and freedom. Whether it was the Stonewall riots, the response to the AIDS crisis, or the fight for marriage equality, we have come together to as a community to support each other and manifest change.
"With all the chaos and fear in the world, we wanted to support our community with as many skills and tools to get through the day being emotionally strong and not going into depression or too deeply into fear," said Executive Director Sunnie Rose Berger. "This isn't specifically an HIV forum however insuring and boosting the immune system helps heal; we just felt the community needed more of the emotional support and tools that the Life Group LA offer's that transcends any specific health status!"
The day will be filled with keynote speakers including Mark Edgar Stephen, Professional Development Coach, Garry Bowie, Being Alive Executive Director, John Sovec MA, LMFT, C. Nathan Bergeron, LMFT, Lac. and Dr. Neva Chauppette, Psy D.
