Grammy-Winning Duo The Indigo Girls Play Luther Burbank Center for the Arts
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
The Grammy-winning duo Indigo Girls bring their signature sonic blend of folk and rock to Santa Rosa on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 8 p.m. for an outstanding program of fan favorites from across their groundbreaking career.
The Grammy-winning duo, Indigo Girls, consisting of Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, have spent 35 years performing together, produced 15 albums (seven gold, four platinum, and one double platinum), and have toured arenas, festivals, and clubs the world over. It is rare to find musicians together so long, rarer still with such profound successes.
Their music lives in the hearts of generations of dedicated fans and continues to inspire young musicians. This loyalty is not accidental. Perhaps their relevance over three decades can be credited to the mighty collisions of distinct aesthetics forging new paths over time.
The Girls' refinement -- not only of style and skill, but of their own creative processes -- allows access to ever new and luminal spaces. They come to the LBC behind their sixteenth studio album, "One Lost Day," which is rooted in tradition as it is inventive: nourished in dark soils, leafing and luminous.
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts is home to world-class performances, nationally recognized education programs, contemporary visual art, and many popular events. The Arts Center is located in the heart of the Sonoma wine country and ranked among California's top performing arts presenters.
Together with its resident companies, the Center presents more than 100 performances in music, dance, theater, renowned speakers, and comedy; provides education programs serving 30,000 children and adults; and hosts more than 1,000 community events a year. Owned and operated by the Luther Burbank Memorial Foundation, the Center relies on charitable community donations to achieve its mission -- to enrich, educate, and entertain.
Tickets for Indigo Girls range in price from $39-$49. The Indigo Girls will play on March 23 at 8 p.m. at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa.
