On Thursday, March 15, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center is hosting a Women Veterans Art Exhibit in honor of Women's History Month. We will celebrate the service and sacrifice of women by exhibiting some of their art. Please join us for the opening exhibit where we will be featuring work by: Victoria Bryers, Pamela Corwin, Amy Forsythe, Natalie Lopez, Cara Myhre, Debra Russell, Daveon Sudduth, Laura Taylor, Stacey Thompson and Lindsay Zike.
We are honored to host one of the women Veteran artists, Laura Taylor, a Navy Veteran who served as an F-14 Jet Mechanic (AD) as well as an F-14 and F-18 Plane Captain. Laura has been creating art since well before her service from 1994-1997. After serving, Taylor continued her education earning a degree in Visual Communications leading her into a Graphic Design career. Taylor's passion for the arts as well as her passion for her country and her family that has also served showcases among her work.
We celebrate women Veterans who courageously defended America, shaped its future and broke barriers for all women.
The gallery show will be held on Wednesday, March 15 at 12 p.m. at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Bed Tower Entrance, 1st Floor, 820 S. Damen Ave. Chicago, IL 60612
