Point Foundation Hosts Valedictorian Society Event in LA
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
On April 27, The Point Foundation celebrates and helps support the next generation of LGBTQ leaders at their Los Angeles Valedictorian Society event.
Point -- the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students of merit -- presents this event as an opportunity to meet Point Scholars and Alumni and hear their extraordinary stories while enjoying cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and networking with like-minded young professionals.
The host committee for this event includes Adam Crowley, Jill Dannis, Ted Farley, Craig Greiwe, Venk Modur, James Ramsey, Megan Reilly, JP Renaud, Jonathan Rosales, Dominic Valentino le Fort, Keola Whittaker, and Board member Jen Wohlner.
Point Foundation empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential -- despite the obstacles often put before them -- to make a significant impact on society. Since 2001, Point has invested $18 million in the education and support of Point Scholars, making it the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students of merit. The Foundation promotes change through scholarship funding, mentorship, leadership development and community service training.
Registration is free and includes a complimentary drink. Guests must be 21+ to attend. Attendees will be invited to join Point Foundation's Valedictorian Society ($240 annually or just $20 a month), a group of young professionals taking an important step in fostering a personal culture of philanthropy among emerging LGBTQ leaders.
Sponsors for the event are the Edge Media Network, The Chapel at The Abbey, and HSBC.
Point Foundation's Valedictorian Society event will be held from 6-8 p.m. on April 27 at The Chapel at The Abbey, 969 N. Robertson Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069.
