IGLTA Foundation Launches Travel Auction

Looking to score a great deal on your next vacation? There are plenty to be found at the IGLTA Foundation online auction where you can bid on travel packages to support LGBTQ-welcoming tourism around the world.
The IGLTA Foundation, the charitable organization of the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association, has amassed more than 30 travel packages contributed by IGLTA members in Europe, Latin America, North America, Africa and Asia. The online event will culminate on September 27, World Tourism Day, a date dedicated to fostering awareness among the global community on the important social, cultural, political and economic value of tourism.
Funds raised from the auction will support the Foundation's efforts to educate government and industry leaders on the importance of LGBTQ inclusive tourism, provide fellowships to young LGBTQ travel professionals, and support LGBTQ owned businesses in emerging destinations.
Auction packages are valid until September 2021, allowing for fluctuating tourism restrictions and comfort zones for returning to travel. Bids are tax-deductible in the United States for U.S. taxpayers.
The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association is the global leader in advancing LGBTQ travel and a proud Affiliate Member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization. IGLTA's mission is to provide information and resources for LGBTQ travelers and expand LGBTQ tourism globally by demonstrating its significant social and economic impact. IGLTA membership includes LGBTQ and LGBTQ-welcoming accommodations, destinations, service providers, travel agents, tour operators, events and travel media in more than 80 countries.
In 2012, the philanthropic IGLTA Foundation was launched to support the mission of the association and its membership through education, research and leadership development.
