READ TIME: 1 MIN.
"Big Brother" star Paulie Calafiore might trying out to be part of the next Winter Olympics, according to a report from TMZ.
The outlet writes Calafiore "got a call from Team USA coaches back in May after his good friend, Lolo Jones, recommended him for the popular winter sport ... according to sources with direct knowledge of the situation."
Jones appeared on the CBS reality show's spinoff series "Celebrity Big Brother."
TMZ goes on to report that coaches asked Calafiore what he knew about the sport and he allegedly replied by saying, "I watched 'Cool Runnings' as a kid," referring to the 1993 comedy about four Jamaican bobsleighers going to the Olympics.
The article goes on to report that COVID prevented the reality star from properly training but is getting into shape. TMZ adds: "He's currently quarantining for 2 weeks at the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center, and after that, he'll hit the bobsled push track for the next phase of training."
Calafiore, whose brother Cody Calafiore is currently on "Big Brother: All-Stars," also competes on MTV's "The Challenge."
The Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing in February 2022.
