Move Over Chris Pratt, Bi Actor Daniel Newman Wants to Play Star-Lord

When it was announced earlier this week that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" character Star-Lord is bisexual, actor Daniel Newman suggested that he should be played by a bi actor, reports LGBTQ Nation.
"In fact, he's got just the guy. It's him," the site writes.
"The 'Walking Dead' actor tweeted his idea to Marvel and Disney, tagging a handful of media outlets including LGBTQ Nation, in his message."
Newman's post alludes to ongoing question about LGBTQ representation in Hollywood. That is, should LGBTQ characters be played by LGBTQ actors?
Adding to the controversy is that the current Star-Lord Chris Pratt has been under fire for belonging to a church that adamantly opposes same sex marriage. The actor has also been questioned about his supposed conservative views.
