Frayed or Fab? 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Fashion Recap, Episode 13
Matthew Wexler READ TIME: 1 MIN.
This week's episode was out of this world for the five remaining queens (or lost in space, depending on who you ask).
Ru challenged the contestants to star in a sci-fi spoof, "Henny, I Shrunk the Drag Queens!" Predictably, Rosé emerged as a front-runner with confident acting chops, and Symone redeemed herself after last week's roast. As for the fashion? "Haute Pockets" was the theme... let's take a look!
Symone stepped into the pocket of this week's runway challenge, wearing a head-to-toe denim pocket and crimped ombre rocker wig, "paying homage to the emo kids I hung with in high school." Verdict: FAB
Olivia Lux returned with her typical silhouette, this time in a muted art deco print with strategically placed rhinestones that didn't sparkle enough to keep her on top of the competition. Verdict: FRAYED
"I'm serving black and white mod realness, baby," said Rosé as she strutted down the runway in white knee-high socks and a 60s flared overcoat, which she tossed off to reveal a pocket-full of genius. Verdict: FAB
Kandy Muse looked as if she got caught in a paper shredder this week. "This outfit is Japanese-inspired," claimed Kandy, whose garment looked like it had been dragged along the Nakasendo Trail, Japan's 330-mile-long ancient trade route. Verdict: FRAYED
Watch out! Gottmik hit the runway in a timely trench coat that revealed pockets full of watches. Smart and stylish, Gottmik's time is now. Verdict: FAB
